Fitting a new boot lid (trunk) T-handle to a Ford Anglia 105E, using 100E parts
Replacing the T-shaped locking handle
If you need to replace the boot lid handle on a Ford Anglia 105E due to lock failure, breakage, or wear, the good news is that it is not a difficult job. Unfortunately, the exact handle is not available, but the 100E handle is so similar that no-one will ever notice the difference.
Removing a single nut on the rear of the lock shaft enables the assembly to be slid out from the front.

Fitting Ford 100E T-shaped boot handle
The end section of the square section shaft needs to be rounded.
This doesn’t require a lathe. A grinding wheel or file and a bit of care is good enough.
Next you will need to cut a thread using whatever die and nut you have to suit. We used a metric M6 x 1 (course thread). Quarter inch should work well too.
Threaded handle stem with a washer and a nyloc nut.
As you can see the overall length is not critical, but the length of the remaining square shaft is important. Match the old part or do it gradually and test fit as you go.
Fit with a new rubber gasket under the handle. A dab of white silicon grease on the catch and new bolts for a perfect install.
Test the lock operation before shutting the boot lid!
