A Classic Ford Spares exclusive part, previously unavailable to buy new. The only new fitment was the adjustable race type people use to race Lotus Cortinas – which gives a very harsh ride on the road. These new suspension mounts from Classic Ford Spares are remanufactured to the original specification for a comfortable quiet ride.
To fit Ford Cortina MK1, 1962 onwards including the GT and Lotus models. Also fits the Consul Corsair 1963 to 1965.
A road-going top mount’s job is to cushion the impacts to reduce the jarring effect, noise and vibration that could be transmitted into the car from the suspension. The mount needs a bearing that the strut attaches to. With one on each side of the vehicle, these bearings act as the steering pivots.
Supplied with mounting bolts.
